Nearly 12 months ago, I mused about how powerful it would be to bring our club to life through recorded interviews—conversations with athletes about their learnings, challenges, and what makes them tick. Storytelling has always been at the heart of Mercantile, and capturing our athletes’ experiences in their own words felt like the natural next step.
It didn’t take long to connect with Drew Ginn OAM, who was immediately enthusiastic about the idea. Together, we are now thrilled to launch Mercantile Radio, hosted by Drew himself.
This podcast will share stories, insights, and voices from around the club, as well as feature guests from across Australia and abroad. Series 1 includes interviews with our very own coaches—Scott Rowe, Noel Donaldson, Tom Creber, and Ed Ryan—alongside special guest Ken Davey.
I’ve had the pleasure of listening to these conversations already, and I can assure you they capture the spirit, energy, and wisdom of Mercantile. The podcasts will be available on our website and on Spotify, making them easy for everyone to enjoy.
