Guerin Club May 2025

As we move into the heart of winter, the Guerin Programme continues to build quietly but confidently, with strong momentum on both the men’s and women’s squads.

For the men, it’s been simple and steady. We’ve had them out for sessions in small & mixed boats—focusing on technical cohesion and keeping things consistent as we lay the groundwork for the season ahead.

On the women’s side, things are full steam ahead. We kicked off the month with a morning of boat maintenance—a great way to build ownership, camaraderie, and respect for the equipment. The cold mornings haven’t slowed this group down either. We’ve had at least a full eight at every session throughout the month, and we’re excited to welcome four new rowers who’ve joined the programme. The energy and commitment have been impressive.

We’re also thrilled to welcome Alister Taylor as the new coach of the men’s squad. Al brings great experience and a calm, focused approach to developing our young athletes. On the women’s side, Roy Zhang continues to lead with dedication and big efforts—his enthusiasm undimmed by the winter chill.

Plenty of early-season promise is building across both squads. Stay tuned—this is just the beginning.
