Welcome back to the monthly newsletter. Mercantile is proud to deliver this newsletter monthly and we are grateful for Nick Reynish’s enthusiasm in managing this vital communication.
February has been a significant month for racing in Victoria. The development of significant areas of the club, from high performance, youth (Under21), Under 23, high performance, clubbies and junior development, put Mercantile on the top of the medal tally at the Victoria Rowing Championships by 8 medals.. This success comes with many kilometres on the water for our athletes and targeted training sessions, curated by our coaches.
On Sunday, immediate past Captain Meg Hester hosted the inaugural International Women’s Day Breakfast with Rosie Popa as the keynote speaker. It was an incredibly success event which we aim to continue in future years.
We look forward to more racing at the Nationals and National trials and wish our athletes all the best in achieving their goals and racing for Mercantile.
