Recycling – Small Effort, Big Impact
Since launching our 10-cent container recycling initiative, Mercantile has already received over $350 in donations, all from containers that would otherwise have gone to waste.
Many members are still unaware of this easy way to support the Club. With more than 485 members, even a small contribution from each household would make a substantial difference. It truly is money for jam.
To participate, simply recycle eligible containers and nominate Mercantile Rowing Club as your donation recipient.

Membership Reminder – Subs Now Due
With Head races taking place this month, a reminder that athletes must be financially current to be entered into any regatta. An updated list of unfinancial members is attached.
If you are coaching or coordinating athletes, please ensure they finalise their subs ASAP, or contact the Treasurer to arrange a payment plan.
From the Club Constitution:
- Subscriptions are payable in advance on 1 July each year.
- Members must pay at least half of their subscription by 1 September to remain eligible to compete in any Club or Regatta race.
- Outstanding debts from prior seasons must also be settled before racing.
