Congratulations to our Mercantile Athletes on a brilliant Australian Rowing Championships. Mercantile Rowing Club was ranked 3rd on the medal tally, with over 55 athletes from Mercantile racing to contribute to these results.

The Christening was well attended with stories and journeys of each of these members of our club. We were fortunate to welcome John Bertrand AO, Will Baillieu, Sean and Bibi Colgan, Peter Antonie (MUBC), past Presidents Mal Batten and Andrew Guerin, Brians partner Susie, Noel Donaldson and many others to acknowledge and recognise the christening of these members of Mercantile Rowing Club.
In the background, the Mercantile Committee has been working to secure and interview for three roles:
- Head Coach
- Women’s Youth Development Coach
- Men’s Youth Development Coach
This involves a large body of work and conversations with people across the globe, which we acknowledge Tom Courtney, Director of High Performance, for his continued drive to ensure that we have the best candidates. We look forward to sharing the new members of our team soon.
